Chaga Dried Mushroom
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) deeply supports the health of the immune system and overall wellness. An adaptogen like many functional mushrooms, chaga uniquely adjusts to the needs of the particular individual, normalizing systems that are out of balance and helping the body to respond to chronic stress in a healthy way.*
Chaga optimizes systemic health at the cellular level, supporting the body in activating cell death when appropriate, and providing the individual who is under extreme stress with welcomed antioxidants. Those who are severely deficient, profoundly depleted, and in need of deep nourishment and immunomodulation may benefit from chaga.*

Please note: Chaga is not an edible mushroom, but strictly beneficial. Some people choose to use chaga in tea, decoction, infusion, or cooking water (such as cooking it in with stew or soup, but not actually consuming it). Think of it like a bay leaf but beneficial to the body rather than for flavor - it adds dense benefits to a broth, stew, or tea, and can be used and re-used several times, getting weaker each time but getting the most bang for your buck. But it can't be eaten.
How to Use Chaga Mushroom:
This dried chaga is in chunks that can be further broken down to increase surface area and extractability. Use in a recipe, or put in water to simmer and soften and then break it down further by hand or with a mallet. If making an alcohol extract, a double extraction of hot water and alcohol for at least 6 weeks is suggested. Chunk size may vary due to natural size variation.
Dried Chaga Mushroom Ingredients:
